It made me a be... read moreI grew up training at LMA for approximately 8 years from 98 to 06. It had such a positive impact on me as a child that it helped form me into the person I am today. It made me a better student in school, better son to my parents, better friend and most importantly a better person. Every child/young adult who has a chance to take Martial Arts should! It’s not only good for your body physically but mentally as well. It’s a great way to learn about discipline, respect, hard work, dedication, and so much more. I grew up training with Mr. Himor who currently owns and the runs the school. He is a true Master in the sport. Dedicated most of his life in the community of Taekwondo. As a child, he was a local, state, national champion many times. Even winning gold at the Jr. Olympics. He is amazing with kids being a father of two daughters. I been fortunate enough to recently be able to come back and train to get back into shape. So glad he has being able to keep it running, especially over the last 2 years. As soon as my daughters are old enough, we will be bringing them here 100%. read less

They provide attention to students helping them foster strong confidence and bonds with their fellow students. They find a way to make classes fun while ensuring they are getting the education needed to learn and one day master the art of Taekwondo. We enrolled our niece as a student and immediately began to watch her flourish. She was able to connect with kids her age which was near impossible for her during COVID. She took her classes seriously, even as a 7yr old, and was excited to move up in belts. Tournaments that were put on allowed her to compete, proving that hard work paid off even earning her a first place medal. We highly recommend joining a class to see for yourself! read less

He also tends to be a perfectionist and shut down when he gets something wrong. This was the perfect environment for him. The instructors were very kind, patient, yet firm. It was nice to see him pushed to try things he wouldn't have otherwise. They really focus on discipline, respect and hard work. All things I think are lacking in other sport teams in his age group. One year later I've seen him become more confident and strong and open to try things he wouldn't necessary try. He gave us a price quote of $145/month thereafter with a 6 month contract. Their classes are Tuesday and Thursday at 5p and Sat mornings, which unfortunately do not coordinate with our schedule but I was very pleased that they contacted us and were quick to reply and answer all of our questions.

If our schedule becomes more flexible in the future we would definitely look to invest in Lee's for training. read less

By chance I changed him to Lee's Martial Arts next to La Costa because it was near the other activities that my other child was doing. We love this school. I have sat in some of the classes since we started and I have felt inspired by how the instructors deal with the kids. I have worked in training since 1998 and I was impressed with how the instructors teach with warm discipline (being caring and strict at the same time). My son feels supported and respected in this school. The instructors are calm, caring while demanding the kids do their personal best. Most of all, Master Mujo, Himor and Wheaton are positive and build the kids up by motivating them with praise and telling them what they can do to improve.
They ask the students about their grades and they support parents if the student is struggling with behavior at school or home. The instructors have spent so much time helping my son improve aspects of his sparing and talking to him about how grades and respect for his parents are really important. I have never heard another teacher say this to my child. If you want a positive and confidence-building sport for your child, I would highly recommend this school. read less
